Visiting Kernan By Air

Airfield PlateNoise Abatement Areas

Vistiting pilots are always welcome at Kernan, and we look forward to meeting you at our club. Please note, we have some local procedures which we require you to follow, and we ask that ALL PILOTS PPR prior to visiting.

We do not ask for a landing fee, but instead, we ask that you make a donation to one of our charities, via the boxes found in the clubhouse.
Likewise, we do not charge for refreshments, but would appreciate a donation in the tea/coffee kitty box.

We are a responsible airfield, and have noise abatement procedures to minimise the impact of our operations on the local community. Please climb on runway heading to 500ft before turning, and avoid unnecessary manourvering in the local area. We publish a noise abatement plate, highlighting areas where overflight is prohibited: please familiarise yourself with this before entering the circuit.

Our circuit is often busy, with training aircraft operating into the 'low field'. As an experienced pilot, please be prepared to give way, orbit, or join straight in to facilitate a student pilot in the circuit.

We operate Air Ground Radio, callsign Tandragee Radio 118.085

Please exercise caution on approach: High Voltage power lines are located in the area and are marked on the airfield plates

Pilots visting from the UK or Ireland: Please ensure you are familiar with the process and procedures for PSNI GAR.
