We're catching our breath after a fantastic Youth Day here at Kernan! It was our pleasure to have a packed house of enthusiastic young guests, to experience our world of aviation for themselves!

Our guests had the opportunity to learn more about the sport of microlighting, getting up close and personal with a C42 whilst learning how to carry out a pre-flight check; and touring an apron packed with various microlight aircraft. After an introduction to navigation, and the challenge of plotting a route, it was out to the C42's to experience flight around our busy circuit. Participants had the opportunity to hear from some special guests - Ryanair Pilot Eimer Larkin, who started her flying journey here at Kernan, and TikToker PilotNI (James Rodgers), on their pathways to flight.

It was a packed day, and we're delighted to see so many smiles, and so many people enjoying our sport! We think a few parents might even have got bitten by the bug!! Thank you to everyone who joined us!
